We deliver education sessions – both face-to-face and online – to engage with the community and help our customers understand their obligations.
We continue to grow our education program following the disruption of the pandemic. Over the past year, we more than doubled the number of presentations we provided our customers, their representatives and peak bodies.
In 2024–25, we:
- delivered 132 in-person seminars (up from 48 the year before)
- hosted 153 online webinars and spoke at another 25 webinars by invitation (up from 70 the year before)
- welcomed more than 10,000 attendees to these sessions in total.
Throughout the year, we travelled to 29 locations across Victoria to deliver seminars covering land tax, payroll tax, vacant residential land tax, commercial and industrial property tax, short stay levy, emergency services and volunteer fund and windfall gains tax.

These sessions attracted large crowds and received enthusiastic feedback, reminding us how valuable face-to-face interaction can be.
We also hosted forums focused on:
- duty for the Australian Institute of Conveyancers
- payroll tax for a range of allied health peak bodies
- short stay levy for regional tourism boards and municipal councils
- state taxes for CPA Australia and Law Institute of Victoria discussion groups.
On our website, we published a new series of videos about commercial and industrial property tax, vacant residential land tax and the short stay levy. These short, animated videos aim to distil complex information into a digestible format that is easy for customers to understand.
We also manage a range of decision tools on our website, which help customers work out whether taxes, levies, grants or concessions apply to them.
You can register for an upcoming education session through our website.
